My extended family was blessed to spend Thanksgiving together on Hilton Head Island! I will admit, I wasn't sure about the idea when it was first suggested to me by my 23 year old son. It seemed like a lot of trouble and what would there be to DO in Hilton Head in November?! But, it was honestly one of the best Thanksgivings we have had!
My immediate family stayed in our villa (HHI Tide 21) and my brother and family stayed in the villa right next door. We had two full kitchens to cook our Thanksgiving meal in and all 10 of us fit comfortably around the table in our villa.
We watched movies and sports, walked on the beach several times, went on bike rides, and my niece roped me in to playing three full games of Monopoly and Hilton Head-o-poly! We visited Harbour Town, climbed to the top of the lighthouse, and took pictures by the marina. We ate dinner one night at Poseidon in Shelter Cove and saw Santa and Mrs. Claus riding by in the back of a truck! Many areas of the island, including our resort, Shelter Cove, and Harbour Town were beautifully decorated with holiday lights. And to top it off, Saturday's weather was picture-perfect - the most beautiful (and warm) beach day!
All that to say...I developed a new appreciation for Hilton Head Island during the holiday season. If you haven't had the opportunity to experience it, I highly recommend it.

12/31 /2022 - Noon New Year’s Eve at The Sandbox Children’s Museum with arts & crafts, scavenger hunts, a picnic lunch, and a balloon drop at noon.
12/31 /2022 - New Year’s Eve Celebration at The Jazz Corner
12/31/2022 - Sea Pines Resort New Year’s Eve Celebration - watch the ball drop (at 7 pm and midnight) from the top of Harbour Town Lighthouse! Live music, food and entertainment.
12/31/2022 - Harbour Town NYE Dinner Cruise
